About Me

My name is Amber Bassi, and I am currently a student completing my Creative Arts & Design Practise (Top-Up) course.

I am a photographer who centres my practise around portraits and headshots. I produce topical pieces of work; asking questions of the here and now, and exploring ways of identifying current social and environmental issues. I take advantage of digital technologies and media to develop my concepts further to create vivid, provoking yet relatable pieces of work.

I am a social individual, and I thrive off helping others with my experience and knowledge. In the near future, I hope to follow my planned career path of teaching.

Over the past year, my work has been highly influenced by the global pandemic- COVID-19. I have been observing the behaviours of not only other creatives ways of working, but also those closer to me.

Given the opportunity, I will seek a way of updating my ways of working to fit the appropriate format. Through various ways of producing media, I want to show that there is always a need for change and a battle to overcome; the pandemic is a prime example of this. The variety in my work emphaises how change is always due, and we are only to welcome it.
